Saint Francis University, the oldest Franciscan institution of higher learning in the United States, wanted to conduct an institutional effectiveness study to evaluate and strengthen the University to more effectively and efficiently meet its mission.

Solution

Conducted over an 18-month period, Performa Higher Education (PHE) examined and evaluated the entire University with focus on the areas of Admission and Enrollment, Financial Aid, Adult Education, Business and Finance, Academic Efficiency, Mission Effectiveness, Student Affairs, Board of Trustees Effectiveness, Institutional Technology, Advancement and Marketing.

PHE identified more than 240 opportunities for continued improvement helping the University to realize improved communication, collaboration and the breaking down of silos to create more integrated student-centered processes and an environment of strategic and courageous decision-making.

Saint Francis University is currently working with PHE to examine planning so the University can obtain the greatest benefit possible from PHE’s assessments.
